Success Strategies That Work!Sample
A Simple Success Formula
To live a life of success it is important to put things in order. God is a God of structure and order, and this is evident right from the creation story in Genesis through to the last chapter of the Bible in Revelation.
To have order and structure, it is important to place the right things first and the right things last. This seems pretty simple, but in a world where literally everything good and bad is passionately seeking your attention, it can actually be quite difficult.
In His sermon on the mount, Jesus preaches about worry and speaks of how nature flourishes because it has no worries. And from this scripture, Jesus gives us a simple formula for daily success. Everything falls in place, and life works in perfect harmony with heaven as His kingdom is established here on earth through us when we understand and work with this formula.
Here goes:
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” - Matthew 6:33 KJV
Read this in a number of different versions. Here are two more versions:
“So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom and the righteousness that proceeds from him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly.” - Matthew 6:33 TPT
“But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.” - Matthew 6:33 AMP
The formula for success is this:
Priority + Purpose = Success
- Priority: Seek God's kingdom first. This establishes priority.
- Purpose: Seek God's righteousness. This builds our character and person in line with the Holy Spirit.
- Success: Everything is added to you.
When you place God first, with no alternative options or fall back plans, that is when all things will work together as a plan for your good because the defined prerequisite of being called according to His plan and purpose (Rom 8:28) have been met.
In your success journey, make sure God is first and last and everywhere in between, and remember when your priority is right (you are focused on God), and you are walking in your purpose (which becomes evident as you study the word of God in search of His righteousness), then God doesn’t hold out on you. All things are added unto you—those things being in line with God's purpose for you and things which gladden your heart—as you’ll find that by this stage, your heart is aligned with God.
As you put God first, and seek His righteousness, the lines will fall in perfect places for you and success will be yours.
