FINDING HOPE IN JESUS (continued)

"That if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses, resulting in salvation." Romans 10:9-10

God in His word is telling you that to have eternal life you must call upon Jesus, confess Him as Lord and trust Him to save you. 

"Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. But whosoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven." Matthew 10:32-33

There is a cost to following Jesus.

"For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it." Matthew 15:25

You will have to give up living a life of sin and living for yourself to live for Jesus in obedience to His word.

IN SUMMARY

The wages of sin is death

Sin separates you from God and condemns you

You have sinned against God.

The wages of your sin is death in Hell, BUT the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus.

God loved you so much He sent Jesus to die for YOUR sins.

You cannot have forgiveness and eternal life any other way.

Jesus is the only way.

Jesus came to save you and give you this free gift.

To have the gift, you must receive it.

How is the gift received?

• Admit you are a sinner and confess your sins to God.
• Turn from your sin and self and turn to Jesus to save you.
• Believe Jesus is God's Son and believe in Him alone to save you.
• Ask Jesus to save you.
• Receive Jesus' free gift of salvation in faith.
• Follow Jesus for the rest of your life.

Are you willing to admit and confess your sins to God?

Are you willing to turn from sin and self and turn to Jesus for forgiveness and salvation?

Are you willing to trust Jesus alone to forgive and save you?

Are you willing to ask Jesus to save you and receive Him alone as your savior?

Are you willing to commit your life to following Jesus?

Do you want to follow Jesus today?

GOD KNOWS YOUR HEART; YOU CANNOT FOOL HIM.

If you want to commit your life to following Jesus, surrender your heart and life to Jesus as you pray something like this.....

God, I admit I have sinned against You.

Please forgive me.

I am leaving my sin behind and commit my life to following Jesus.

I believe Jesus is Your son and trust Him alone to save me.

Jesus, please save me and be the Lord of my life.

In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
