Essential Qualities of Kingdom LeadersSample
HOLINESS
“Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: Be holy, because I am holy." 1 Peter 1:13-16 NIV
Holiness is God’s character. It defines us as His people and His Kingdom leaders. Holiness comes forth only from the Holy Spirit as He sanctifies—sets us apart daily— for God’s use. It is the Lord God’s way of letting the world know we belong to Him. The behavior of Christians should reflect the character of God at all times.
“Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself. Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.” Exodus 19:4-6 KJV
QUESTION: Does my life and leadership reflect the character of God?
