Walk Through The Bible 365 - JanuarySample
Return Good For Evil
Esau's firstborn blessing was stolen by his brother Jacob (verse 27:19). He was very angry and wanted to kill his brother Jacob (verse 27:41). We are living in a fallen world. We are not perfect. Sometimes we can feel tricked just as Esau was, but he did not hold onto his unforgiveness and bitterness. He forgave his brother. When people have wronged you, lift up your hurts and negative feelings to God, Jesus will heal and comfort you. He will help you to forgive and return good for evil.
Prayer: Father Lord, thank you for forgiving all our wrong doings in your sight. Help us to forgive those who have wronged us. It is not easy, but by your love and the power of Holy Spirit, we will practice to love our enemy. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
