Betrayal Recovery Plan

DAY 3 OF 3

A PLACE OF SURRENDER

An assurance of the Lord’s dominion brings us to a place of surrender. When fear is removed, we are assured of the power of God’s plan in our lives, and we are able to enter recovery mode. The enemy uses fear to stir up strife. He uses fear to sow seeds of anger. He sows fear to get us outside of our faith. Spiritual attacks always contain a measure of fear. Fear will keep us locked up in a dark place.

Jesus left us with peace. He has already prepared a place for us:

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." —JOHN 14:27 NIV

In a betrayal, the enemy tries to shake our peace and our confidence in God. This is the work of fear. It comes to uproot our hearts and remove us from a place of peace and rest. In a place of peace and rest, we can receive the dreams and visions God gives to us. We can enjoy the harvest. We can shrink back from the impulse to fight our own battles and enjoy God’s victory for our lives.

We do not have the peace that this world gives. We don’t handle crises as the world does. We should not talk and act as the world does. We should not fret as the world does. In fact, our peace should serve as a magnet for the lost. They should observe our ability to navigate through life’s storms and clamor to know our secret. This opens the door for us to boldly tell them about Jesus! He is the source of our uncommon peace.

In the midst of destiny attacks, God’s plans for you, your career, and your life are still intact. It may seem as if all hell is breaking loose around you, but God’s got you. You have no reason to fear.

Overcoming fear disempowers the voice and lies of the enemy. His weapons against you are no longer successful because fear is a fuel to the voice of darkness. When there is no fear, the weapons fail.

"But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place. Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life.” —ISAIAH 43:1–4 NKJV

In this passage God was speaking to His people, reassuring them as they were emerging into the promise. No matter what they walked through, His love and provision were working in the midst of crisis and calamity. They could rest in the love of the Father and His complete provision for them and we can do the same today. It has already been spoken, established, and provided!

Now we have the privilege of walking these things out with Jesus leading us every step of the way. WE ARE NEVER ALONE!
