Cry OutSample
POWER POINT #6
The power of God's love brings increase. His promise to the needy is that He will lift them up when they cry out to him.
The state of being in need brings us to a place of humility. No amount of money or muscle or goodwill can protect us from tragedy. When bad things happen, it is not divine retaliation for our mistakes. The truth is that we live in a sin-filled world. In these low moments, we can look for someone or something to blame, or we can recognize that our greatest need is coming into relationship with Jesus. Through lack and sorrow we are reminded of our need for God—his grace, his strength, his wisdom, his provision—because he is the One who sustains us.
Those in need experience hardship; yet, those who cry out to Him in their trouble will be delivered from their distress!
By God's great love, he lifts us up. As we humbly turn our face to God, he turns his face toward us and he extends his favor over our lives. A shift in our priorities causes a supernatural shift in our circumstances. We experience God's miraculous multiplication when we renew our minds to position God first in every area of our lives, and we rely on Him to fulfill every need!
PRAYER
Dear Lord, please forgive me for my pride. I have relied on my own strength and abilities which have failed me. I need you more than anything else and today I re-center my life on you. God, I cry out to you and I ask you to lift me out of this pit. Please shine your face upon me and grant me your favor. I invite your supernatural hand to move in my situation, to guide me, and to provide for me. Thank you for your unfailing love! You are a good God! I give you all praise and honor and glory! Amen.
