[20:20 Vision] Triangle

DAY 1 OF 5

The Triangle

Have you ever wanted to evaluate your life as a Christian, and did not know where to start? A new year brings a new opportunity to do so. How can we evaluate our lives in a productive way that will generate necessary changes in us? One way to evaluate our lives is by using a triangle.

An equilateral triangle has three sides that are the same size. In this illustration, this means there are three parts that have the same importance in our lives. The three corners of the triangle are the same distance from the center, which holds it all together.

It is extremely important for us as Christians, as believers, to always trust God. Such trust is not built on the belief that God will always do what we want or what we think is right. To trust is to firmly believe in the reliability, truth, or ability of someone or something. It is to believe that someone is good and honest and will not harm us.

When we trust God, we need to trust Him completely, even when things do not go according to how we want them to go. We must learn to trust God to accomplish His will, not ours. We all want to get our own way but getting God’s way is more important.

Hudson Taylor, the great missionary, said this: “Depend on it. God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterward, and He much prefers doing so.”

Thought of the day: The whole goal of this year, the whole goal of our life, should be to get to trust God completely, to know Him more, and to grow in our relationship with Him. From that will come everything we need to live a full life and understand what is really important.

About this Plan

[20:20 Vision] Triangle

Every new year is a God-given opportunity for us to evaluate our lives and do what we are called to do as His children—love Him and love people. A new year brings a new opportunity to evaluate our pace and our perspective based on the cross and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for us all.
