All In

DAY 31 OF 31

Addition is one of the first things we learn in math. We learn how to count, then we learn how to add the numbers together. It is the foundational basis for all other math. But what kind of adding is happening in Acts 2:47?

“Praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.”

Supernatural addition is when God moves in us to transform our hearts to bring us into His fold. And although we are the ones called upon to share the Gospel, only He can save. Only God moves in people’s hearts. Sometimes people do not listen or sometimes flat out say, “No.” How many times have you felt His presence and did not hear it, blew it off, or worst of all, disobeyed?

I don’t know about you, but over and over again, I have seen God still use me for His glory, whether I obeyed or not. He can move and supernaturally add believers to His Kingdom with or without us. And yet, it’s His design and desire to include us in adding to His Kingdom.

But our calling is not to just add converts to the Kingdom of God. Our calling is actually to exponentially multiply His Kingdom through discipleship. The natural next question is this: What is discipleship and how do we do it?

The best way to make disciples is in a relational context.

Disciples are believers learning from Christ how to live like Him, teaching others about Him, and then helping others to live their own lives like Christ. Discipleship is the process of helping others grow in their relationship with Him. We are called not only to be disciples, but to also make disciples. We do that by creating relationships with believers to help them spiritually mature.

Discipleship is not merely a matter of transferring or remembering information. Discipleship is following Jesus and leading others to do the same.

It is a lifestyle that must be practiced. Jesus’ mandate in Matthew 28:19-20 is not about an education or expanding your mind. Discipleship is about expanding God’s Kingdom. And God’s Kingdom must be expanded to disciple all people to the ends of the earth for all time. God has big plans for us to build His Kingdom. The only question is this: Are you all in

Dan 30

About this Plan

All In

"All In" comes from Acts 2:42-47, where the Holy Spirit fell on Jesus's disciples and transformed the hearts and lives of everyone present on the Day of Pentecost. Over the next month, these devotions and verses by Faith Promise pastors and staff will lay out God’s plan to mobilize us to bring about the next great move of God.
