DAY 1 OF 8

More Than Enough - Kim Walker-Smith

To live with peace that passes all understanding, which is one of the fruits of the Spirit, requires a bit of wrestling at times. We must make a resolute decision that Jesus Himself is enough for us. When we are faced with obstacles, mountains, difficult decisions, and hard seasons, we must decide that more than we need answers, more than we need provisions, more than we need plans and clarity, we need Jesus. He is always the answer and He is always enough. He is the way, the truth, and the life and in Him, not only do we find all that we need, but we also find who we are. We are daughters and sons, loved by a kind and generous Father who went so far as to sacrifice His own son so that we could live in relationship with Him, no longer separated by sin. How many times do we get fixated on our list of needs and wants, forgetting to just stop, take a moment, and reflect on the greatest gift, which is Christ Himself.  Today, lay down the list of requests and point your heart towards Jesus. Silence all the noise, slow down, take a breath, and listen for His voice. Sometimes we tend to make it harder than it really is. It’s as simple as just saying hello to Jesus and acknowledging that He is there with you. When you turn your attention to Him, the whole atmosphere changes around you. The realization that He is there with you in your car, at your place of work, at home, at school, wherever you are. There is no striving to see Him or hear Him. We fix our eyes on Him and He shows up because He loves us. So, take that moment today and remember that Jesus is more than enough for you.
