Finding True Purpose

DAY 6 OF 6

Day 6 – Seek a vision

Most of us have a tendency to live passively, waiting for things to happen. When we live this way without clear vision we more easily lose heart. We can even start questioning what life is all about.

God has a vision for you, and it is perfect. Pray for that vision and not just what you think you desire. Our own desires often do not match our gifts and what God has planned. Ask Him to fill you with His vision and grab hold of that. Ask Him to guide you in pursuing that vision.

Scripture tells us God will guide us but that means we have to be close and listening. God desires close relationship. He wants conversation and not simply to deliver marching orders. His primary means for moving you is not instruction, rebuke, or discipline - it’s vision.

His vision will include the hard times that may lay ahead. It will be strong enough to guide you through the difficult seasons and roadblocks. This type of vision is what gives us purpose and a mission.

Ask God to provide it, then cultivate and pursue that vision with passion and the peace that knows God has good desires for your life.

Father God, please provide a clear picture of what you want me to strive for and accomplish for your glory in the coming year. Help me seal that vision in my heart and let it guide my actions.

About this Plan

Finding True Purpose

At some point we all ask questions about why we were created, what are we supposed to do and what does God want from us. The world usually tries to answer these questions very differently than scripture. God loves you and made you for a very specific reason. Over the next six days learn how to live the abundant life God desires.
