Walking Through Miscarriage With GodSample
"Never Alone"
When we are brokenhearted and shedding tears alone, just know, God sees you and He understands the hurt and pain inside every single tear. When you are feeling alone and helpless, do not give Satan a foothold in your mind. God is always with you and you are never truly alone.
After going through so many miscarriages myself, I am now extremely burdened for other women who are going through such a painful loss. I had no idea how common miscarriages were until I had my first one. So many women go through a miscarriage but yet, it is something most women keep hidden from others. I had never felt so alone in my entire life until my first miscarriage. The miscarriages that followed carried the same feelings of loneliness and helplessness. My mind would run wild with worry and fear that I would never be able to have children.
Grieving and healing after a miscarriage is not easy to do alone. We need others to pray for us, encourage us and just listen when we are ready to talk. I had friends who would stop by my house with a diet coke and a cookie to help cheer me up. They would hug me, cry with me, tell me they were praying for me and then leave. I was never able to say much in the first week after a miscarriage because I was not ready to talk but their act of kindness was exactly what I needed at that moment in my grief. It is ok if you are not ready to talk about your heartache right now but please, I beg you, do not shut God out. This is when you need Him the absolute most.
As time goes on after your loss, seek out other women who have experienced a miscarriage and share your experience. We are not alone in life, God has given us the local church where we can share with others what we are going through and find healing. If it has been years since your miscarriage, you can still grieve and receive healing in your heart from God. He alone is the great Physician and nothing is too difficult for Him.
Write these verses out in your journal and audibly speak these truths as you grieve.
