Your Journey To GratitudeSample
DAY TWO: Remember Christ’s Sacrifice
Through Christ’s sacrifice on Calvary, God restored the possibility for any man or woman to be redeemed from sin and reconciled to relationship with God as their Father. As we are reconciled to our heavenly Father through accepting the sacrifice of His Son for our sins, we can look forward to living with Him eternally in His wonderful kingdom.
We know from Luke the forgiving love that runs toward a repentant prodigal is what we can expect from our heavenly Father when we make one step toward Him. His loving heart restores us to our position in the family of God that mankind lost in the fall through our waywardness.
It is an unfathomable source of gratitude to consider that God Himself loves all of humanity with such intense desire to do good for us, in spite of our failures. As you meditate on the love of God the Father, be quick to express your love and praise to Him. He will enlarge your capacity to know Him and to sense His presence and purpose in your life. And He will forgive any wrongs you have done in life. Such love causes us to bow in adoration before our God, declaring, “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.”
