Reading the Bible in Historical Sequence Part 11Sample

Reading the Bible in Historical Sequence Part 11

DAY 7 OF 30

On Sunday 5 Apr AD 33 at sunrise, women find the tomb empty. Angels announce He is risen. He appears to the women and to the disciples who, mostly, are hiding in fear of the authorities. Jesus proves He is still flesh and blood.

Note Matthew 28:1: A literal translation of this is ‘After the Sabbaths, at the drawing on toward one of the Sabbaths (Greek Nestle translation)’. The second plural for Sabbaths is a normal habit of speech but the first plural implies more than one Sabbath. The first day of Unleavened Bread on this Friday was a Sabbath by law (Leviticus 23:7) in addition to the weekly Sabbath.

Dan 6Dan 8
