Day 9 – The Power of Discernment

Wisdom to know what is God given

The Holy Spirit lets us know what has been giving to us by God. In life, you may pursue or be pursued by many people. However, there is only one perfect path from God. The relationships God has for you is better than your eyes could ever imagine according to 1 Corinthians 2:9. But first, you must surrender your will to that of God by constantly putting yourself in a place to listen to the Holy Spirit, so you are able to receive. God has already given us the power of the Holy Spirit so we can know what relationships have been given to us by God.

Good versus Godly choices

We have to understand that everyone who comes into our lives are not equipped to be connected to us. The key to knowing the purpose of each relationship is to seek the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit first obtains His authority from God according to John 16:13. He doesn’t instruct you on His own behalf, but yet He checks in with the Father to tell us exactly what to say or do. More importantly, He guides us into all truth, so we can discern from an “okay” decision to the best decision.

Throughout life, you will be faced with many choices. Therefore, you will have to decipher from good versus Godly. But the great thing to know is you do not have to do it alone. Continue to seek God so you can have discernment to understand which way to go, where to turn, how long to stay and when to run away! He will not lead you astray!
