How To Experience Healing

DAY 5 OF 7

What to Do While You’re Waiting for Your Healing

Healing can take place in different ways. Sometimes God performs a miracle and instantly heals someone. Other times, He heals them progressively over time. When looking at Scripture and the many miracles Jesus performed, it’s easy to think He always heals people in the same fashion. But on closer examination we see that in many cases He doesn’t do the same thing twice. Regardless of the method, receivers consistently showed belief in His ability to heal and willingness to release His power on their behalf.

The same is true today! If you’ve prayed for healing and nothing happened immediately, that doesn’t mean your faith faltered. It also doesn’t mean that God is angry at you and wants you to suffer. It just means it’s time to thank God that you are taking Him at His Word and getting better one day after another. Remember that, from God’s perspective, you are already healed in Christ!

Just because you haven’t seen instant results doesn’t mean your prayer wasn’t answered. No matter what situation you find yourself in, it’s always a good time to be thankful. You may be in the early stages of the healing process. Don’t fall for Satan’s tricks. He wants you to focus on your symptoms and what appears unchanged, when you could be thanking God for the part of your life that has gotten better. Make wise choices, take care of yourself, and thank God that you are getting better, stronger, and healthier day by day.
