Journey Through Suffering

DAY 4 OF 5

Being Transparent

A good friendship consists of two people being there for each other in the good times and the bad. God wants that type of relationship with us as well. He wants to know about your joys, fears, loves, and doubts. He wants to celebrate with you when life is good and help you work through the pain when life is hard. Listen as Cindy Winters shares a story about when she faced a challenging time. She learned how to be transparent with God even though she was experiencing one of her worst fears.
Listen to Cindy
Jesus told God about His struggles in the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus' anguish was so great that He was sweating blood. When He was praying, Jesus asked God to take the pain away if it was God’s will. Jesus had a relationship with God that allowed Him to share His inner thoughts and fears. He had needs that God was able to fill through relationship with Him. God wants to do the same thing for you in your life. Addressing the needs and gaps in your life and handing them over to God allows your life to be more complete.

About this Plan

Journey Through Suffering

Suffering can seem like a journey with no end in sight. But like everything, God walks with us through it. This five-day devotional provides ideas for how to trust God no matter the outcome. We know that suffering is not the end of the road. Others will sometimes come alongside us, but Jesus will fill in the gaps when they are not there. Joy can be ours today!
