THE FATHER’S HEART

Have you ever seen a child fall? The moment they hit the ground, their bottom lip pouts out and big, fat tears begin to roll down their cheeks. They usually aren’t down for long. Pretty soon, mom and dad are rushing over, picking up the child, offering comfort and affection. Now, picture a time in your life when you’ve fallen – when you’ve failed or missed the mark. When we fall, our heavenly father is quick to respond. He isn’t absent or far off. He doesn’t hesitate or hold back. He wraps his arms around us and reminds us of his love. Shame tries to imprison us. It tells us that we are worthless, useless and dirty. But shame has no power over us. Jesus defeated the grip of guilt and shame when he was pierced on the cross. This song is a love song from the Father, calling us to His presence, reminding us of His faithfulness, and securing us in His love. Our response to His incredible love is to sing His praise!
