Today’s Scripture Reading: Proverbs 28:1

Proverbs 28:1 says that "The righteous are as bold as a lion.” Living the Christian life requires courage and boldness because a true Christ-follower will inevitably encounter opposition. You won’t have to go look for it; it just comes with the territory. It takes courage to live for Jesus.

A lot of “Christians” want to fly under the radar and be just saved enough to make it to heaven without it ever costing them anything. This, however, is not true, biblical Christianity. Genuine faith requires holy boldness. This means praying bold faith-filled prayers. It means taking a stand for Christ, even when it’s not popular. It means being willing to parent differently. It means doing what’s right when everyone else isn’t. 

So today, let’s pray a bold prayer. Let’s ask God to make us as bold as a lion!
