Anything worth having is worth fighting for. Notice I didn't say worth fighting with. The relationship with your parents is one of those issues that's not always easy to figure out. They are looking at life with the end in mind and as a student you are looking at life with the beginning in mind. This tension can be pretty powerful at times. Your parents are just trying to keep you from making some big mistakes and you want to explore your freedom. Remember this, God put your parents in your life for very specific reasons. There are things that you need to learn that only your parents can teach you. It is not a mistake that you are in the family you are in. The quicker you accept this reality, the easier it becomes to get along with your parents.
