The Deception of Pride

Today we take on the beast—that ugly, five letter creep—called pride. Pride is the worst. Even the word is deceptive. Because there’s a good pride—being proud of your kid, or of a job well done—and there’s bad pride. Bad pride likes to disguise itself as if it’s the humble one.

Pride is when you’re too smart to see how stupid you are, too righteous to see how sinful you are, or too big to see how small you are. Pride is a liar. In the end, it will drive you to madness.
