Release Forgiveness Towards Others And Yourself

DAY 1 OF 7

Forgiving frees you!

Have you ever tried to forgive someone and realized you couldn’t do it?

It’s as if something in you is “blocked” because of what was voluntarily or involuntarily done to you...How do you break through and truly forgive?

It doesn’t depend on your feelings. Forgiveness is based on your obedience to God. The Word encourages you to forgive…“And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32)

So, it’s an act of your will, but it’s also a divine act.

While unforgiveness blocks the channel of faith and steals your joy, forgiveness releases an inner freedom that leads to peace. Just as the song “Forgiveness” by Matthew West states, “the prisoner that it really frees is you!” Forgiveness is like a key that opens heaven’s gates, allowing the Lord to move in your life.

My friend, if you feel like this is speaking to you, I invite you to pray with me now…“Lord, You see my heart. You know that I can’t seem to forgive [say the person’s name]. I’ve tried with all my strength, but I can’t bring myself to do it. I ask You to help me through Your Holy Spirit to truly forgive and walk in full freedom with You, filled with Your life, joy, and peace. Please fill my heart with love for this person. In Jesus’s name, amen.”

Thanks for existing!
