DAY 1: Healed or Cured?

“So from now on we do not regard anyone according to the flesh. Yes, though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet we do not regard Him as such from now on. Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things have passed away. Look, all things have become new. All this is from God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation.” –1 Corinthians 5:16-18

“I don’t heal; that’s all on you.” A doctor told me that when I asked him if he could heal me.

Doctors are trained to diagnose and treat symptoms. It was this truth that I had to get my head around before anything else and one that you must understand when starting this journey to discover that only God cures.

Cure in the language of God means “healed, gone completely, gone and never coming back; the root problem has been identified and addressed.”

There is no magic pill that will wipe out what is going on in your body. You may have been to the doctor over twenty times hoping for the right diagnosis, hoping that the next change in medication will be the perfect cocktail to make things right, but you are on the wrong track. That road leads to unnecessary tests, unnecessary procedures, and medications that will kill you slowly. You may feel helpless, but the reason for that is your hope is in the wrong place.

God cures. God’s cure is the end of your medical condition, your financial situation, your relationship problem, and more. He wants to completely remove what is in your system, your body, that caused you to become sick and diseased. He wants you to be restored, renewed, and whole.
