Disappointment: When Life Gives You Lemons Ukážka
Don't return to your disappointment.
Recently, after a performance with dear friends, we wanted to go out together. Since we didn't know the city, we just started walking and entered the first café we found. It was beautifully decorated and looked inviting.
But honestly, that was it. They kept us waiting forever, and even though the menu looked promising, they told us, "Sorry, there's nothing left in the kitchen."
As we were leaving, I whispered ironically to my friend, "I won’t come here again."
The irony continued the next morning. We went back to the church to load up all the equipment and wanted to grab a coffee.
And which café did we see first? Yes, that same café. It still looked just as inviting from the outside. "Come on, let's go in there again," everyone said. I also thought about it for a moment. Until my gaze fell on a little alley, where I discovered a café that was somewhat hidden, barely visible from the street.
And here, we had the most delicious coffee and thought,"Why didn't we see this yesterday? Why didn't we go there right away?"
Does this sound familiar to you in any way? Do you keep going back to where you've been disappointed and wonder why it keeps happening over and over again?
From the outside, this place or person looks so nice, but you know it's just an appearance. Every time you go back, you get annoyed and disappointed all over again.
I keep saying it, and I'll shout it to you again today:
Don't stay here any longer, because the miracles happen when you keep going!
The Bible wants to confirm this for you today: "The LORD our God said to us at Horeb, ‘You have stayed long enough at this mountain. Break camp and advance…’” (Deuteronomy 1:6-7 NIV)
To which disappointment should YOU not return, but keep going?
You are a miracle!

There is a saying: When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. We are to make the best of the most disappointing times and situations. But what happens when you just don’t want to accept disappointment?
