It's PersonalUkážka
Have you ever walked into a room or been in a group of people and wondered, “What am I doing here? These people are way more important, talented, and influential than I’ll ever be!” If you have ever felt that way, you know with that thought comes the feeling of self-doubt and a lack of confidence. Our view of ourselves shrinks when we compare ourselves to people we might see as better than us.
But this verse from the book of Psalms tells us that even in our lowest moments, no matter how we see ourselves, how others see us, or how we might be in reality, the Lord takes thought for me. We are not overlooked, diminished, or thought less of in God’s eyes. We are on God’s mind, and even more than that, God acts and moves with us in mind. This writer says God is our help and deliverer. In other words, we are seen as we are, loved as we are, and matter as we are. The Lord takes thought for me.

Everyone is different, yet we all share a common quality. Deep down, we were created to be deeply known by others and by God. We were made to experience relationships with others and a relationship with God that’s personal. Because when it’s personal, it changes things. Things matter more. People matter more. Over the next few weeks, we will discover a personal God and what that means for us.
