Manželka mu povedala: „Čo sa ešte stále pridŕžaš svojej bezúhonnosti? Rúhaj sa Bohu a zomri!“ Jób jej odpovedal: „Rozprávaš ako nejaká bláznivá žena. Či len dobré budeme prijímať od Boha a zlé nie?“ Keď sa toto všetko dialo, Jób ústami nezhrešil.
