There Must Be Another Way

I’ve never heard a sermon on this verse. In fact, it may be the most overlooked verse in Bible. But it may also be even more important than the three preceding verses. Sometimes fathers control, bully, and manipulate in ways that do not bring any change in behavior, but only serve to frustrate and anger his children. Paul makes it simple, “Don’t do it.”

“Dear Lord, there are times I just don’t know what to do about raising my children. Please give me wisdom. Forgive my impatience; forgive my intolerance. Help me establish healthier relationships with them and give me creative ideas to bring them up to love and honor You. In Jesus’s name. Amen.”
