Dressed to play
In soccer, every player must be equipped with the right clothing to face the game: jersey, shorts, shoes and protection. In the same way, the Christian is called to put on the armor of God to face spiritual battles. We cannot go on the field without protection, but we must put on every piece of the armor that God has given us to resist the attacks of the enemy.
Each piece of the armor has a fundamental role. The belt of truth holds us firm, just as a soccer player’s belt holds his clothing stable. The breastplate of righteousness defends us from attacks, like protection that prevents physical damage. The shoes of gospel readiness push us to advance decisively, ready to spread the good news of Christ. The shield of faith acts as a barrier against enemy blows, while the helmet of salvation protects our mind, preventing negative thoughts from overwhelming us.
Finally, the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, is our only offensive weapon, just as a soccer player uses the ball to score. With this armor, the Christian can face every challenge and advance in the spiritual journey. Without the armor, the enemy has a free hand, but with it we are ready to win, strong in Christ!

About this Plan

Imagine soccer not just as a sport, but as a powerful metaphor for the Christian life. Every aspect of the game, the field, the rules, the challenges, and the ultimate goal, is reflected in our spiritual journey. As in a game, we face obstacles, work together toward a common goal, and learn to give our all to overcome difficulties. Every move matters, every choice brings us closer to victory. In this study, we will discover how the dynamics of the game can reveal profound lessons about faith and Christian life, knowing that the game is already life.
