Embracing God's Vision for the Church (and for you!)

God is moving within His Church, and He's taking it somewhere significant.

We, as a part of the body of Christ, have a unique role to play in His plan. The church isn't just a place we attend; it's a living, breathing community, and each member is integral to fulfilling the vision God has for us. When we respond to God’s call on the church, it’s a response to our purpose in His kingdom. Just as God has a vision for His church, He also has a vision for your life, and He is positioning you for something incredible.

When God reveals His vision for us, whether it’s for the church as a whole or for us as individuals, our response should be, “God, if that’s what You’re doing, I am in. I can’t wait to see what this means for my life. I’m fully invested.” It’s a response of complete commitment, a declaration that you are ready to participate in God’s plan, both for His church and for your own life. This is not just about attending church or participating in ministry; it’s about being fully engaged in what God is doing and allowing Him to shape your life around that purpose.

It’s important to remember that not everyone may be in the same place in their faith journey. Some might be newer to faith and still processing what it means to truly engage in God’s vision. If that’s you, lean in. Take your time to understand the depth of God's calling and His vision for your life. Every step of faith is valuable, and God will meet you where you are.

In Hebrews 12, we’re reminded that the Christian life is like a race that requires endurance and focus. There are often “weights” that hold us back from fully engaging in God’s vision. To fully run the race that God has set before us, we must “throw off everything that hinders.” This means we need to let go of those things that have been holding us back. What’s holding you back?

Over these 15 days, we’ve barely scratched the surface of the immense, mind-blowing vision God has for his Church. It’s a vision he’s calling you to take your place in and to run towards with all you’ve got. Imagine the incredible, miraculous things we will see on this earth and in our own lives when we commit ourselves to His plans for us, and give it all we’ve got.

You are essential! And when you take another step deeper into the community, you take another step towards the grand vision God has for you; one far greater than you could ever imagine.

• Do you feel you know God’s vision for your life? Why not ask Him today to reveal more of what he has planned for you?
• How can you fully run after the vision God has given, for you and His church?
