LISTEN TO AND DECLARE WORDS OF FAITH
Words carry meaning, and that meaning gives them life. Therefore, words can contribute to our personal growth, our relationships with others, and our relationship with God. However, the words we speak are the expression of what we cultivate within, and they can be rooted in either faith or unbelief.
Unfortunately, the spread of "fake news" and the actions of people who neither keep their promises nor honor their words are increasingly common. To address this, Solomon said, “The one who is easy to fool believes everything, but the wise man looks where he goes.” (Proverbs 14:15) This proverb shows us that we shouldn't believe every word we hear, but rather we need to trust in the Word of God. “For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.” (Psalm 33:4)
Trusting in God's Word and relating to Him is an act of faith. Because “through faith we understand that the world was made by the Word of God. Things we see were made from what could not be seen.” (Hebrews 11:3) The foundation of our faith must be in God’s Word, because it is the truth that has the power to bring life to all who believe in it.
It is very common for us to rejoice in God's Word and have faith in what it says when things are going in our favor. However, while we are waiting for a relationship to be restored or a difficult situation to change, it is possible that some thoughts contrary to God's Word will try to throw our faith off balance. For example, we might start to think that delays and difficulties are signs that we will not receive what we are hoping for. But when we doubt the fulfillment of God's Word, we give space for unbelief.
Doubt is rooted in the fear that what is hoped for will not happen. Doubt and faith cannot coexist, because when doubt settles in the mind, faith does not remain. "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." (Hebrews 11:1)
In our daily lives, we may hear many words, but not all these words will produce faith. Because “faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.” (Romans 10:17) Only the message of Christ can generate faith in us to remain firm while we wait for something. And remember, what we hear influences what we speak in both good and challenging moments.
As a child of God, you are called to walk in faith in His Word, not according to the pressures that natural circumstances try to impose. Difficult situations will always try to draw your attention to the impossibilities, to generate fear, doubt, and words of discouragement. On the other hand, when you stand firm on God's Word, your faith is strengthened with the conviction of what you hope for in Him.
Trust fully in God, for He is not a man who lies, and He watches over His Word to fulfill it in the lives of those who believe in Him. Do not allow unbelief to settle in your mind; declare words of faith before the mountains of doubt that arise in your path, and they will be removed.
DECLARATION OF FAITH: I believe that the Word of God is true, and He is faithful in all He does. I fight every doubt and remove the mountains of opposition by continually declaring words of faith. Even though circumstances show impossibilities, I declare that everything is possible for those who believe.
