John had a full-access backstage pass to watch God in action when he was taken in the spirit to heaven. God has a plan written out and ready to go, but no human or angel has ever been worthy to open it up and carry it out. John openly sobbed to think that God’s perfect plan couldn’t be carried out.

Enter our hero—Jesus, the holy Lamb of God. He is the only one who will ever be worthy to carry out God’s perfect plan for us. There is no politician, government structure, great job, wonderful relationship, exercise regimen, dietary plan, or religion that can solve our problems or fix our brokenness. In our sin and selfishness, we’ve made a mess of our world. Jesus came to pay our price, make us clean, heal our hurts, and restore our relationship with the Father. Jesus is our only source of hope.
