Heart Yokes

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.” Isaiah‬ ‭10:27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Back in Biblical days, “Yokes” were used as strategic farming instruments that farmers would use as training instruments that would bind or “yoke” their farming animals together. These “yokes” were used as training devices that would train these farming animals, typically oxen, on how to follow their master’s instruction.

These yokes were used to control and “bind together” oxen on how to plow their master’s land. While these oxen were under their master’s authority, multiple “teams” of oxen would be “yoked” together in order to cultivate vast plots of their master’s land. These “yoking devices” were critical controlling instruments used by the farmer.

In fact, these yokes were strategically and intentionally placed around the neck of the animals in order to control, limit, and manipulate the direction and momentum of the oxen. Simply put, “yokes” were physical harnesses that were used to bind oxen together in order to accomplish the will of the farmer—their master. Whatever area the master wanted to plow, the oxen were underneath his authority to obey his command and to plow that specific area of land.

Interestingly enough, in the same manner that physical “farming yokes” were used to bind together oxen, the same principle applies to spiritual matters of the heart. “Heart Yokes” are spiritual devices that the enemy uses to bind, restrict, and limit your destiny. Satan wants to limit the momentum of your destiny by ‘yoking’ your heart to his devices.

2 Corinthians 2:11 KJV declares, “...for we are not ignorant of his devices.” We are not ignorant of Satan’s schemes, tactics, and devices. May God reveal and destroy every hidden yoke, trap, snare, and bondage of the enemy. As we will discover, throughout this book, “Heart Yokes” have the power to limit your destiny, rob you of your harvest, corrupt your character, and imprison your heart to generational cycles of the past.

It is my prayer, that you allow God to reveal every hidden “Heart Yoke” that’s tied to your purpose and to your family’s bloodline. It is my prayer that God destroys every generational yoke that’s tied to your family’s lineage and legacy.

May God remove every yoke, bondage, and entanglement that’s tied to your destiny. It is my prayer that every yoke is destroyed and every entanglement is crushed. In the Name of Jesus, I pray that every yoke that’s choking your purpose is destroyed. I pray that every form of poverty is completely eradicated. I pray that God breaks every cycle and derivative of lack. Let His Word completely destroy every remnant that does not reflect His Heart. Let His Power destroy every form of bitterness, perversion, jealousy, strife, addiction, and any ungodly yoke that’s buried deep within the borders of your heart.

As you read this book, let His Anointing destroy every chain and break every generational yoke. Let His Word flow into the deepest depths of your heart and break every cycle. God’s Word is life and it is alive. It has the Authority and Power to completely transform your heart and change your life—forever. Let His Word ‘detox’ everything in your heart that’s not like Him. Let His Word heal you. Let His Word restore you. Let His Word make you whole.

Prayer

Father God, in the Name of Jesus, remove anything in my heart that’s not like You. Remove every hardened area that’s embedded deep within my heart’s soil, foundation, and framework.

Father, take away any “Heart Yoke” that’s buried deep within the walls of my heart. Father, cultivate the soil of my heart and burn away every seed of bitterness.

Father, take away every remnant of rejection that’s buried deep within my heart. Father, remove anything that’s contaminating the soil of my heart.

Father, remove anything that’s not like You. Lord, I will forever surrender to You.
