The Influence Decision: Gentleness
Being a servant leader means having gentleness, which is strength under control. Jesus demonstrated this when He stood up to injustice but led with care and compassion. A true servant leader has the strength to do what’s needed, yet chooses to do so with kindness and humility. These daily decisions—to serve, to be gentle, and to put others first—create lasting change.
Today, take a moment to reflect on how you can lead with both strength and gentleness. How can you exhibit gentleness in your interactions, while still standing firm when the situation calls for it? Consider how you can combine these two qualities—strength and gentleness—to serve others in a way that brings honor to God and helps guide those you lead toward growth and understanding. When we lead with both strength and gentleness, we reflect the character of Christ and build trust, respect, and meaningful connections with those around us.
Reflection: How can you show gentleness to others today? Is there an area where you might need to balance firmness with gentleness?
