The Gentile Pentecost (Acts 8-15)නියැදිය

Courage & Opposition
‘They stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, thinking he was dead’ (Acts 14:19).
The stories in Acts 13 and 14 describing Barnabas and Saul’s mission to the cities in Galatia, (southern central Turkey), are some of the most dramatic in all Scripture.
The outpouring of the Spirit on the Gentiles leads to …
Barnabas and Saul being set apart for the Lord’s work (Acts 13:1-3).
The conversion of the Proconsul in Cyprus (Acts 13:4-12).
The Gospel is preached to the Jews outside Israel (Acts 13:13-52).
Some of the leading Jews and many Gentiles receive the Gospel and become disciples.
This witness provokes strong opposition to the point where Paul is attacked and left for dead.
But God; ‘opened the door of faith to the Gentiles’ (Acts 14:27).
Even though some people oppose the Lord’s work He establishes exactly what He wants to establish. It is impossible for human beings to frustrate the will of God. Despite their worst efforts ‘this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations’ (Matthew 24:14).
