Where Are You?

DAY 2 OF 5

Day 2: Uncovering the Roots of Separation

**Reflection**

Why do we find ourselves separated from God? Often, it's because we are afraid to confront our shortcomings or sins. Like Adam and Eve, who hid because they were ashamed, we too hide behind our fears, pride, or past mistakes. Today, God invites us to allow Him to search our hearts deeply. What are the hidden things in your life that have created a distance between you and God? Is it a fear of being truly known, a prideful refusal to admit wrongdoing, or perhaps old wounds that have never fully healed? The process of uncovering these roots is uncomfortable, but it is necessary for genuine healing and restoration.

God’s desire is not to expose us for shame but to bring everything into the light so that it can be healed. Imagine a gardener pulling out weeds from the root to ensure they don’t grow back. In the same way, God wants to pull out the deep-rooted issues that keep us from fully experiencing His love and grace. Reflect today on what needs to be uprooted in your life. Allow God to reveal any hidden areas that need healing and bring them before Him. Embrace this process, knowing that it leads to freedom and a closer relationship with your creator.

**Prayer**

Lord, I invite You to search my heart today. Reveal to me the hidden things that keep me from fully embracing You. I lay my fears, my pride, and my past hurts before You. Lead me in the way everlasting, and help me to walk in Your truth and light. Heal every broken part of me and draw me closer to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

About this Plan

Where Are You?

"Where Are You?" is a five-day devotional designed to guide you through a journey of self-examination, repentance, and spiritual renewal. This devotional is inspired by the moment in Genesis when God asked Adam, "Where are you?" after he and Eve had sinned. This question, while seemingly simple, carries a profound spiritual inquiry. God wasn’t just asking about Adam's physical location; He was calling attention to Adam’s spiritual state.
