Meet the Rest of the TeamSample
GOD’S EDUCATION TEAM
When God created us, He knew how much He was going to need to teach us. In the same way that we start teaching and training our children from the day they are born, He trains us as we grow. And He has a whole team on standby to help us understand.
When He created ants, He made them in such a way that He could teach his beloved children about hard work and diligence. “Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter” (Proverbs 6:6, NLT).
I am convinced that God took special care when creating sheep because they were to become his most referenced teaching aids. No wonder Jesus, the perfect “Lamb” mentioned them in his teachings as well. “‘I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for the sheep’” (John 10:14-15, NLT).
There are too many other examples than what we can explore in this plan. But I like the way that the eagles were made to teach us about God’s protective love for us. “Like an eagle that rouses her chicks and hovers over her young, so He spread his wings to take them up and carried them safely on his pinions” (Deuteronomy 32:11, NLT).
What have you learned about God from nature throughout your journey as a believer? Do you believe that God wants to teach you more about Himself through nature? What can you do to explore all that He wants to teach you?
Let us look for God’s teaching and training in nature. And let us learn about God Himself as we spend time in the company of his creations. “For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God” (Romans 1:20, NLT).
About this Plan
Are you someone who feels closer to God when you spend time in nature? Has God ever revealed Himself to you through animals, plants, or other parts of creation? In this plan, we will explore how all creation forms part of one team to God’s glory.
