When the Lord dropped this fast and prayer into my heart, I couldn't ignore the strife and tension surrounding us at the time. But let's focus on all the GOOD God is doing, even in the midst of challenges!

You see, God spoke to me about the necessity of praying and interceding for ourselves as we journeyed into 2024. We needed His protection, so we wouldn’t fall into the enemy's trap. There were a number of areas the Lord was working in with, for, and through us.

Just like Ezra proclaimed a fast for protection on their journey, God has called us to be a conduit of faith in this journey of life. We must pray not only for ourselves but also for our children and everything we possess.

The devil is roaming to see who he can devour. That's why we must stay alert and sober-minded.

As I went about my day facing the challenges our family was encountering, I realized that if I hadn't been fasting and praying, I would've been numbing myself with food or other distractions. Maybe you would've been doing the same?

But here's the beautiful truth: through this fast, you’re letting the Holy Spirit know that you need to draw close to God, to find peace in His presence for whatever you’re facing in your personal transition. And when you receive it, it’s through that peace, that you can extend it to others who are struggling too.

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for the protection and guidance You provide for us on our journeys. Keep me and my loved ones safe as we move from one season to the next.
