DAY 23 OF 31

THE DANIEL’S SENSE OF THE DESTINATION

The point you must take today is that the sense of a journey is one of the keys to safety in Christianity. You must never develop a sense of arrival. Once you develop a sense of arrival, you will disembark from the vehicle.

I remember when I met my wife, and we got engaged; I told her and the brethren in the ministry at that time that I was going somewhere. I told her, “I’m going somewhere, and I don't want us to get there, and they say let Rev. Areogun's wife come and speak, and then you begin to mumble words.” She asked me, “What are you going to do to help me?’’ The only thing I could do for her then was to give her a Bible. I told her, “Read this Bible very well. When we get to where we are going, the rest will take care of itself.” She took it seriously, and we are getting there gradually day by day. We are not there yet; we are still on the journey.

The devil is going to take you, or God is going to take you. Paul said, “… but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before …” (Php. 3:13). So, you must always have that sense of going somewhere. I am not where I am going yet, but I am not where I used to be. Things are changing in me, and I am making progress. You must have that sense of making progress.

Prayer: Father, deliver me from every sense of arrival. Help me to reach forward daily for those things ahead in Jesus’ name.
