Day 1: Unnecessary Conflict - Preventative Conflict

"The beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water: therefore leave off contention, before it be meddled with."

*Devotion:*

The best way to fight is to avoid unnecessary battles altogether. The Book of Proverbs reminds us that strife is like the opening of a dam—once it starts, it’s difficult to control. God calls us to be peacemakers and to recognize when a conflict isn’t worth pursuing. By seeking wisdom, we can discern when to step back and avoid the escalation of tension. This isn’t a sign of weakness but of spiritual maturity, acknowledging that not every offense requires a response.
