DAY 4 OF 5

You’re Never Fighting Alone

As a Christian, you are never, ever alone in your battles. In fact, there’s an interesting story recorded in Scripture in 2 Kings 6. It tells the story of when the nation of Israel was at war against the king of Aram—a neighboring country. In the story, we read of a servant who was in a dialogue with a man of God named Elisha. 2 Kings 6:15-16 says: And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” The servant was scared. He looked out, and he saw the enemy forces everywhere. There were horses, warriors, and all sorts of troops. He was saying, “We are way outnumbered. They’re everywhere, and we have hardly anybody.”

Have you ever been there before? I know I have… but in the midst of the fear and uncertainty, Elisha prayed in Verse 17: …“LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. Wow! The LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he saw God’s angelic army surrounding him. God gave him a glimpse into the spiritual world, and he realized God’s angels and warriors were everywhere. He was not in the battle alone because there is another world—a spiritual world.

Friend, we must remember there’s more than our eyes see, and we are not alone in the battle! Many times in my life, I’ve been facing immense pressure that would have certainly crushed me had God not opened my eyes to this truth—you’re never fighting alone!

As you engage with God’s Word:

● What is God saying to me?

● What does it mean to me?

● How can I apply what God is teaching me?

● How can I be specific in prayer today?

After you reflect on these questions, bring everything to God in prayer.

Day 3Day 5

About this Plan

SpiritualEYES

The battles we face—the struggles, fears, and conflicts—are not simply random events. The challenges we encounter in the physical realm often originate in the spiritual realm. Fortunately, Scripture equips us to prevail in the battle we face against the power of darkness! Join me in this five-day journey as we learn to see the supernatural and be equipped to confront the enemy and win.
