God’s Story Is Our Story: From Genesis To JesusSample
Reflecting on the last week: If Israel followed God’s law, the nations would marvel. God graciously called Israel and blessed their life together with good things for this very purpose: that they would be a showcase of his love, justice and mercy. Likewise, Jesus graciously calls us by name so that our life together might be like a light shining out in the darkness—like a city on a hill drawing in weary travelers (Matt. 5:14). The church, much like Israel, falls short of this high ideal, but Jesus’ forgiveness knows no limits. He is committed to giving us the grace we need so that we might become conduits of his blessing. How could your small group community be a light to the watching world? How could you love one another in ways that attract outsiders? To who among the weak and poor could we show mercy, that we might become a living display of God’s mercy?

About this Plan
Make God’s story your story. This plan will help you do that by providing an overview of scripture, and showing how it fits together as one unified story. We highlight three themes through daily scripture readings, Bible Project videos, and original devotions: 1) Jesus as the fulfillment of the Old Testament. 2) God’s mission to restore creation. 3) God’s surprising grace in the face of human idolatry, evil, and injustice.
