Sinner To Saint

DAY 2 OF 6

No One Is Born A Christian

Although salvation from the consequences of sin is available to everyone through Jesus Christ, it is not automatic. No one is born a Christian.

To be spared the consequence of sin and adopted into God’s family, you have to admit that you cannot do anything about your own sin and need Jesus to save you, turn away from that sin, and accept God’s forgiveness. .

No matter how much your friends or family might want to settle spiritual matters for you, the choice to be saved and become a Christian, or follower of Christ, is a conscious one that you have to make for yourself. Although they may be able to control your actions, they cannot control your heart, and that is where salvation happens.

The actual prayer you pray to begin your relationship with God through Jesus Christ is not as important as your intentions when you pray that prayer. The prayer itself is just an outward expression of what is happening on the inside, nothing more. The actual words hold no power in and of themselves and so can differ from person to person, but you must have a truly repentant and surrendered heart to be saved.

  • Have you been saved?
  • How do you know?

Read 1 John 1:8-10, Romans 10:9-10, 13, and 1 Peter 1:1-2.

About this Plan

Sinner To Saint

Some people believe that you have to wait until you die to know for sure whether or not you truly belong to God and get to spend eternity in Heaven.  Not true!  God wants you to live a victorious life for His glory right now, confident not only of where you will spend eternity (1 John 5:13), but also in His love and your identity as His child.  Not sure whether or not you belong to God?  Don’t wait another day to find out!
