Advance: Living Unstuck & Moving Forward in Faith

DAY 3 OF 21

Day 3: From Fear to Faith:
We are all human and we all feel fear from time to time: fear of the future, fear of failure, fear of lack, fear of sickness, or fear of what people think. There are many kinds of fears. In this world, fear is all around us. There are severe hardships locally and globally, and many face real fears like losing a job, sickness, hunger, pain, loneliness, abuse, or fill in the blank for your situation. At the same time, that doesn’t mean we have to allow fear to rule our hearts and minds by dictating our decisions. We need to remember that fear is a spirit. With God’s help, you can break free from the spirit of fear and move forward in faith!

2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) reassures us that, “God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” This does not mean that you won’t feel fear, since we are still human. It does mean that you don’t have to let the spirit of fear rule you. All throughout Scripture, the phrase, “do not fear,” is mentioned 365 times. Coincidentally, that’s a daily reminder to not let fear rule your life.

In Romans 8:15 (NIV), we are reminded that, “the Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, ‘Abba Father!’” The beauty of this Scripture is that we are officially named as sons and daughters of God.

In your life, think about what fears you have that may be keeping you stuck or holding you back. Is it fear of failure, fear of safety, or fear of regret? Whatever your fear is, get some of the Scriptures that apply to that area of need and begin to speak them over your life, family, and finances. Put those Scriptures up in your home. Pray and ask God for what you need and then thank Him that He is working in your life. Know that you are loved by your heavenly Father, so choose to move forward in faith.
