This I Know: God Loves Me
God loves you. How do you know? You have His Word. The Bible tells you so. Over, and over, and over. The more you read the Bible, the more the Holy Spirit will convince you it’s true. God loves you, and as your loving Father, He has many other truths to share with you through His Word. Let’s review the 7 Motivations for Your Bible Habit.
1. God will guide me. We don’t know the future. We can easily make poor decisions or get blindsided by unexpected experiences. As we read the Bible daily, God will help guide us along His path.
2. God will meet with me. We serve a God who wants to meet with us. In fact, He looks forward to spending time with you each and every day. Reading the Bible daily is your personal appointment with the Ruler of the Universe.
3. God will fulfill me. Life is hard and can sap our strength. Sometimes we look to other things to fill us up, but only God truly fulfills us. When we read the Bible, God fills us with the right fuel.
4. God will change me. We all want to be better tomorrow than we are today. Consistent time spent in the Bible will renew our minds as our character becomes more like God’s.
5. God will strengthen me. God doesn’t watch us go through hard times—He goes through them with us. Our new daily Bible habit helps strengthen us and gives us hope to endure the fire.
6. God will equip me. Your good Father will help grow you up and make you ready for your next first-time as you consistently read His Word.
7. God loves me. Because He loves you, He gave you the Bible, which is like a love letter to you. No matter what book, chapter, or verse you read, God has one universal message to tell you: You are loved!
