Leaders who know that the future is in God’s hands can take more risks than those who believe that future outcomes depend only on human decisions. Such leaders walk bravely into the future, even with its unknowns. No matter how substantial the involvement of faith-based leaders may be in the here and now, they know the promises of God will be realized at the end of time. Christ’s resurrection ensures that partial accomplishments will then be completed, uncontrollable evils brought to justice, human errors corrected. Christ’s victory ensures ultimate redemption for the creation. When events seem out of control, when evil penetrates an organization’s best efforts to thwart it, and when seemingly good leadership decisions turn sour, Christian leaders can be comforted by the already secured reality map of the future.
