DAY 9: THANKFULNESS

Prayer Topic: Express gratitude for God's blessings in your life.

Devotional: Gratitude is a transformative attitude that shifts our focus from what's lacking to what we have. It's been proven through many studies that a person is healthier and happier when they exercise a life and attitude of gratitude. In 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV), we're reminded to "give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

As we continue on this fast, express gratitude for God's blessings in your life. Let your heart overflow with thanksgiving, acknowledging the goodness and faithfulness of our Heavenly Father. It's very easy to look at our lives and think of what we don't have or how life has done us wrong. There's always opportunity to be thankful even through tough times.
