Book By Book 3: Proverbs To LukeSample
Chapters 3 through 5 continue to tell of Christ’s coming Kingdom and lament Judah’s refusal to listen to God. In today’s chapter, we read about when God told Isaiah he wanted Isaiah to be his prophet. When Isaiah experienced God’s presence, he was overwhelmed with his own sinfulness.
Worship is sometimes telling God how great he is, but sometimes it’s recognizing how far we are from his holiness. Thankfully, Jesus took on our sin so we can be righteous as we enter God’s presence. As 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, ”For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.”
