This attitude of surrender and willingness to follow God’s direction is foundational.

Prayer and the study of God’s Word are vital in this process. Another key aspect is seeking the counsel of wise, godly people. These individuals should be steeped in Scripture and capable of guiding us according to God’s Word, not just worldly wisdom. Their insights can often provide clarity and perspective that we might miss on our own.

Proverbs 3:5–6 teaches us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not lean on our understanding. As we navigate trials, God often directs us by opening and closing doors, guiding our steps in ways that may seem mysterious but are perfectly orchestrated.
