God Cared Enough to Become Human.

There is a great mystery we find in the Bible. There are so many… but there’s one that I don’t think I’ll ever wrap my mind around. God became human.

Philippians 2 tells us that…

He made Himself nothing. Took the nature of a servant. Being made in human likeness. And He humbled Himself.

The Son of God wasn’t human, but miraculously, He became human—born of a virgin—and He submitted Himself to death on a cross. How does the Ultimate Deity become a human? I honestly don’t know. But this tells me something very important about the Character of God.

The Most Powerful One loves humanity. He cares about people and the billions of people that walked the earth before us, and will after us. He is not content to be separated from us. So, what was His plan?

He became like us.

He made Himself a servant.

He became nothing.

He even became obedient to death.

This should amaze you, humble you, and comfort you.
