TheLionWithin.Us: How to Lead Through Fearනියැදිය

Power
It appears that most leaders covet power and with noble reason at times.
The more power that is at our fingertips the greater the probability that we will get things done. A common error in business is when there are too many chiefs and making a decision can be painstaking. The fewer roadblocks allows for the ability to push agendas that are important to win the day.
However, Paul did not stop there – he immediately coupled love and discipline as part of this divine equation. Reflecting on this further, it seems that without those two components you essentially end up with a dictatorship and that is a dangerous path to travel to be an effective leader. Maybe these were added because he knew that with a sole focus on power it could be easily misconstrued.
While power is useful when utilized in the right way I tend to think of a horse when it comes to power in a leader. Horses are powerful animals and yet when they have the proper training they can be led around by almost anyone. Has the horse lost his natural ability or strength in those moments? Not at all – what they are exercising is meekness which is power under control. Yes at any time a horse can take over and just like the most influential leaders today the ones that can harness their power and use it to serve others appear to have an advantage.
Questions to Consider
- What does coveting power look like in your journey?
- Do you consider meekness a desirable attribute as a leader?

About this Plan

Which is worse – being scared or fearful? Being scared appears to be momentary and driven by our circumstances. It seems though, that fear has a deeper root, that extends down to our core beliefs. A common fear sounds like I will let my family down – but is it valid? Scripture provides three qualities that when coupled together are extremely powerful when fear arises - let’s explore those together.
