Thanksgiving නියැදිය

Day 5: It’s Thanksgiving Day!
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” (Psalm 100:4)
It’s Thanksgiving Day! Shouldn’t we use our lips and our tongues to thank God for something He’s done in our lives, not only on this special holiday, but every day?
You might say, “Why? God already knows how I feel.” Yes, He does. But the Bible says, “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord” (Psalm 100:1)! Someone else might say, “I don’t feel like it right now because of what I’m going through,” or “I didn’t grow up that way.” Perhaps we should all consider that lifting our voices to praise God is not about making us comfortable; it’s about pleasing God. He is worthy of our thanksgiving and praise no matter what we’re feeling or what is going on around us.
I’m sure we all have lots to ask God for, but let’s not be too quick to do so today. Let’s tell the Lord, “Father, we need so many things, but we first want to thank You for your mercy, for Your forgiveness, for Your salvation, for Your love, for Your patience, and for Your provision day by day. We lift our hearts and our voices in praise and thanksgiving. And we also ask Your blessing and direction in our lives. In everything we say and do, we want to honor You, on Thanksgiving Day and always. We pray in Jesus’ name, Amen!”

About this Plan

In his new Thanksgiving devotional series, Pastor Jim Cymbala shows us from Scripture not only how a grateful heart pleases God, but also how it blesses others and ultimately makes a huge difference in our own lives. This series is great not just for the holiday season but year-round for those who want biblical insight into an act of worship that is so necessary for our spiritual well-being.
